The Elixir is a high-performance two-liner in the High-End EN-C category. Within the MAC PARA range, it is positioned precisely between the sporty Verve and the competition-oriented Magus. Weighing from just 4.0 kg, it combines outstanding performance with exceptional comfort in flight, making it equally at home on ambitious cross-country flights and demanding hike-and-fly or vol-biv adventures.
The primary goal during development was to create a wing that offers experienced pilots performance levels approaching those of the EN-D class in terms of glide performance and speed, while retaining a compact design, forgiving handling characteristics, and passive safety fully within the limits of the EN-C certification category.
The Elixir benefits from the latest technological advances developed for the Verve. It shares the proven Nitinol reinforcements and internal structure, while introducing a higher cell count, an aspect ratio of 6.68, and an even more refined high-performance airfoil.
The result is:
Key technical features include:
From launch, the Elixir impresses with its straightforward and intuitive behavior. The canopy rises smoothly, remains well-centered above the pilot, and inspires confidence even on demanding take-offs.
In the air, the Elixir combines precise handling with reassuring stability. Its direct yet comfortable brake response allows efficient thermalling and effortless centering, even in turbulent conditions. During accelerated flight, the wing remains stable and track-efficient while providing clear and useful feedback. The B/C control system offers immediate response with low operating forces, making long XC flights less demanding and more enjoyable.
The Elixir also excels in collapse resistance and recovery behavior. Its reactions remain predictable and manageable, fully reflecting the character of a modern High-End EN-C wing. The combination of performance, stability, and passive safety allows pilots to fly efficiently while maintaining a high level of confidence in a wide range of conditions.
The Elixir is designed for experienced and active pilots who want to take full advantage of modern two-liner technology:
