3rd Task ( 7th September 2009) We had 75 km long task across the Rieti valley. I made some mistakes before starting cylinder and I start this race behind the others and quite low. Also Yaseen and Matej were not so much above me... I tried hard to catch the main gaggle, but everyting which i did today, it was completely wrong. So i flew way behind the main gaggle, with the girls... Only Yassen was even behind me, also trying with the other lines to catch the first ones and to win the task. After half of the race there was some shadow due to the thunderstorm clouds in the southern valley, so the race become interesting... First group stucked on some ridge, including Matej. I finally got the rythm, use amazing climbs of MACPARA wings and within next 10 km I was again in the game.
After this comeback I was really motivated and with this rythm I know it will be difficult for the other to beat me today :) - but the thuderstorm developed too much and the organizer decided to stop the race.The best MACPARA pilot today was Macedonian VLADIMIR NEDELKOVSKI (19th place) in front of STEFAN DRUIN (22th), ME (40th) and PETRA SLIVOVA (49TH), all in few kms...

Yesterday we had very strong north wind so the task was canceled.
Forecast is very bad for the next few days and organiser is looking for alternative solution...
In the morning about eight o clock we travel south of Rome to the town of Norma. The town is know by the old Roman town. In the distance we can see the sea it's funny to figure it out that the sea level used to be till th height of the takeoff. And the mountain in the distance was an island.
In the lake under the takeoff is living cocodrile (crocodile).
When we arrive we go directly to the cliff, task comity sets the task and we jump in the air. The task is 75km long and pretty not interesting cik cak race. There is not much we can do, we cant fly the flats, because of the army airport and to the back over the mountains could be too difficult to return because of the strong wind.
Until the air start we have good flying conditions and we are flying over 2500m above sea level.
When the race starts I was in good position and I stayed there until the end. I was flying practically all the time 90% accelerated. There were practically no decisions so it became also a little bit boring. The most interesting was the end when we were gliding low to the last turn point and into the cliff. We picked up from 20 - 50m of the ground. Close call right before the goal.
In the end I finished 7. Gasper was 15, Jassen had broken speed...
