The Yukon is an ultra light paraglider for pilots and mountaineers. The Yukon has excellent handling with light brake pressure and the glide ratio is just wonderful. Easy to transport the Yukon combines the powerful features of a performance-intermediate glider with a low weight.

The Yukon features specially developed airfoils to provide extraordinary glide ratio and stability. This bias toward safety becomes evident from the technical specifications, with 46 cells and an aspect ratio of 5.12, the design clearly leans toward that of the typical intermediate. The smooth shape of the airfoil nose is maintained by thin nylon rods to achieve low weight. The Yukon has very easy ground handling. Everything feels very predictable in all launch conditions. The ease with which the canopy can be brought over pilot’s head is just excellent. The wing flies intuitively and unaided from the beginning. Intensive testing resulted in a well balanced glider with very simple take-of characteristics and easy behaviour during extreme manoeuvres.  The canopy of the Yukon is moderately damped in all axes but the canopy responds to commands quickly and willingly accepts all inputs. It offers lively and sporty handling. Thermaling is a real joy. Powerful and well damped, the wing can be easily turned with wonderful climbing performance. The Yukon neither dives, sits-back, nor has any tendency to be ejected from the thermal.  The brake pressure is light , giving comfortable feedback. It allows pleasant turns during long thermal fights and increases progressively towards the end to offer a good safety margin. It is hard to achieve a stall from normal inputs. Provoked collapses of the leading edge (even when accelerated) reopen laterally with a maximum turn of 90°. It features excellent stability in accelerated flight. The speed system operates easy and the glider reaches a respectable maximum speed of 50 km/h.

The line concept is simple with four rows, each with 3 main lines. The top lines are thin durable unsheathed Cousin Vectran lines. Bottom lines are sheathed Edelrid Kevlar lines. The Yukon is equipped with thin lines and with light Dynema risers. The Dynema tapes are protected by a sheath. As standard the lines are connected to the risers by loops to save weight. Also available are risers with small triangular maillons for pilots who prefer the system commonly used for paragliders.

The Yukon features excellent stability throughout the full weight and speed range. The Yukon is a great lightweight glider.

The Yukon is manufactured using the paragliding industries well established lightweight materials . Because for any glider, the part that always wears out first is the leading edge, we use Skytex  36 with  coating E 68A for this. For the less stressed areas of the sail we use Skytex  27 with E 71A coating for top  and bottom sail. For the supporting and diagonal ribs we use Skytex  32 with “hard finish” coating E29A. This gives the advantage of a sail that is both lightweight and very durable.
